Planning a road trip from British Columbia into the United States in your PRZ rental car? Whether you're heading to Seattle, Portland, or beyond, there are a few key things you need to know before you hit the road.

1. Inform PRZ in Advance

Always notify us if you're planning to cross the border. We’ll ensure your rental is properly documented and covered for international travel.

2. Out-of-Country Fee Applies

Rentals taken into the U.S. are subject to a $29.99/day Out-of-Country Fee. This covers additional insurance and administrative costs.

3. Bring the Right Documents

Make sure you have a valid passport, driver’s license, and any applicable visas or travel authorizations for crossing the border.

4. Insurance Coverage Continues

Our Premium and Standard insurance plans both extend coverage into the U.S., but liability limits and deductibles still apply.

5. Be Prepared for Border Inspections

Border agents may inspect your vehicle. Be honest, answer all questions clearly, and declare any goods you're bringing with you.

6. Know the Return Rules

You must return your rental vehicle back to same pick up location. One-way international returns are not permitted.
